Why do we NEED to go to church?
We gather to worship God.
“Praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved” Acts 2:47
We gather to receive God’s word.
“Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.”
1 Timothy 4:13
We gather to love and serve one another.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
We gather to fight sin together
“See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” Hebrews 3:12-13
We gather to build each other up until we see Jesus
“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25
